Benedict with older kids

Post by scooterbehr » Thu Nov 11, 2021 9:19 pm

My fiancé and I took our kids (ages 8 and 10) to the Fritz hut last New Years’….it was sweet! After years of adult trips, we threw the kids on snowshoes on the way up, and let them ski on the way down.

This year, I’ve reserved Fabi’s for a group of 4 young ladies (Girl Scouts 11-14 years) and two adult leaders. I’m the one with experience. The girls and their parents are freaking out. Anyone have experience taking novices (on snowshoes) to the Benedict Huts? It’s only 4.8 miles and not that steep (except for the one big hill!). Am I nuts for thinking it’s doable if we take aaaaaaall day to get them there?

Thoughts and encouragement are appreciated!
