For sell 12 spots (6 up and 6 down) for Shrine Mnt Walter's cabin, great scenic views for hiking. 2 nights Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6. $270 per night per space (up and down). Details below are from www.huts.org

Walter's layout, capacity and prices: Capacity 12 total, internally divided into two levels, each sleeping 6 people. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms: 1 with a queen bed, 1 with 2 single beds, and 2 single day beds in the main room. Wood burning heat stove, hot and cold running water, refrigerator, indoor bathrooms with showers, flush toilets. Propane oven, and generator powered lighting. You must rent the entire upstairs (all six spaces) at a rate of $45/person/night ($270/night). Downstairs: layout and amenities are the same as upstairs, except with a propane heat stove and no refrigerator. There is a deck. Downstairs spaces rent for $45/person/night and may be booked individually.

Additional Amenities:There is running, potable water at all three cabins as well as propane grills. There is a communal, wood-fired sauna located between Jay's Cabin and Chuck's Cabin.

Hut Location: While located far enough from paved roads to keep a backcountry mood, the cabins of Shrine Mountain Inn are perhaps the least difficult 10th Mountain "ski in" huts to access. An ideal first hut trip, these cabins are 2.7 miles from Interstate Highway 70, Vail Pass Trailhead. [locator map]
